From reviewing the resumes of Resume Writing Services’ past clients, it’s quite clear that this company and its writers do a very good job of taking mediocre resumes and making them exceptional.
Their resumes also generally use the newer resume technique of prepending intros to each job experience before diving into bullet points, which is a technique commonly recommended by resume writing associations. This hints that most of their writers are certified and up-to-date with modern resume writing practices.
Writer Credentials
Resume Writing Services has over 20 writers and covers over 30 industries. A part of their team consists of Human Resources professionals and recruiters – but they also have writers in other industries such as journalism, tech, education, business, and entrepreneurship.
Process
Similar to ResumeGo, this company has one of the best collaborative processes out there, which allows the client to communicate and work with their assigned writer as much as needed.
Their website stresses the fact that they offer unlimited phone consultations with the writer, which is always a positive sign. Forcing clients to work with their resume writers through only email is generally a warning sign of a low quality service (though there are exceptions to this).
They also offer unlimited revisions for one week, which is definitely a huge positive, though also a common feature among other resume services as well.
After placing an order on their site, you’ll be directed to fill out a work history form. From there, they assign you a writer who fits your industry and who will schedule a phone call with you. Once you’ve talked to your writer, he or she will provide you a draft of your resume within a week.
Pricing
The resume package without any add-ons starts at $270, which is within the $200-$300 average. It is on the higher end though, and likely a result of allowing clients to have unlimited revisions for 14 days and unlimited phone calls with their writers.
Service Options
Unlike other companies that have different pricing tables and packages, Resume Writing Services has only one option for job seekers to choose from – a resume package that includes a professionally written resume. Everything else is included as an add-on – so if you need a cover letter, LinkedIn profile, thank you letter, or interview-coaching, you can just add it to your order.
Their interview coaching add-on is an additional feature that other services don’t offer. It would be nice, however, if they also added an “extra resume” option that other services offer for job seekers who are applying to multiple industries and would like more than one resume.

They are a little pricey with their default package at around $270ish, but definitely worth it in the end.

Andy did an awesome job with writing my resume. I felt comfortable talking to him about coding, and that he knew the tech field as much as I did. I’d love to work with him again in the future if the need for it ever arises. Very impressive stuff and I can’t stress how fast their response time is.
